Technology Challenge - Build a Waka

We got given the challenge of creating a waka...out of newspaper.

 We had to follow these rules...

 1. Build the waka using only 5 whole newspapers and a roll of cellotape.
2. 3 people from the class have to fit in it (we worked out that Whaea didn't specifically say it had to be people in our group or be sitting down)

    This looks like so much fun! I have shared this blogpost with some other classes I work with who have been learning all about their waka and awa. This will be a good for them to try too. Thanks for sharing. Did you have a time limit?

    this is Eamon from YMS and these look so fun to make! especially scinse there only made of Paper. but what all of these boats need is, some poles and sales! and also How do they stick up! overall I like them!

    Kia ora i'm Zack from Yaldhurst Mobel School. I liked the way you used lots of pictures and you inculed lots of writing. This riminded me of when we went to woodend camp and we had to make some sort of costume to wear. Next time, you could add a little dit more writing and add the feelings of the people that made it BYE.

    Kia ora, I´m Toby from Yaldhurst School.
    I Enjoyed the part when you had to stick to the rules to make it harder.
    Did you think about putting it on warter to see if it floats.
    Why did you use news paper.
    Where you allowed to fold the newspaper and cut it?
