Schoolkit

This year we participated in the Schoolkit - Get Writing Kit. It was great fun exploring the 13 items in the tin and creating anagrams and learning about sticky words.

This is a photo of us after we opened the parcel we got from our buddy class at another school.

  1. Kia ora, I'm Zack at Yaldhusrt Model School.

I liked way that you have come up with a different idea for a name I like this because you have come up with it yourself. I also like it because you have done a blog about what another School has done for you this was a good kind idea of you to do this for your blog post. Lastly I like this becaus you have put one picture.

You brought me back to when another School sent us a peace lilly as a present, this post brought me back to that because they sent us something to like the School sent that to you. It also brought me back to when we fot the groud painted outside our School that has a nice message on it.

Next time, you could add some more writing on what you got this for/ why you got this. You could also add some more writing about what the kids liked about this cool thing. You could lastly add lots more pictures than just one so people knew more about this cool present that would also be good because we could send you something different mabye.

What made your buddy School think of this?
Why did you do a blog post on this?
What is the purpouse of this blog?

  4. Hi Grey main, it's Thom from Yaldhurst school here.
This looks like a fun activity. It is almost like a challenge because you are trying to make all the words.

It is great that different schools are doing things together like this because it can bring completely different schools or people together.

I think that next time you post a blog you should describe it more because I had to read it a few times before I actually got what was going on.

    But great blogging, awesome work.

  5. Hi Grey Main School,

I can see from your faces that you were very happy to receive this package. It looks like a great gift. I haven't heard of the Get Writing Kit. How has it helped your class get writing?

We love writing in our class at Yaldhurst. Many of our students find Free Writing the best but that only happens occasionally. At the moment we are learning how to write Non-Chronological Reports. They have some tricky aspects, but we got to design our own dragons and pet-carriers as part of the unit.

What writing are you doing at the moment?

    Thanks for sharing,
    Mrs Spragg
