Battle of the Mountains
Battle of the Mountains
We listened to the legend about how seven mountains in Te Ika a Maui (the North Island) came to be where they are today.
In groups we each created a set of maunga (mountains) and our own Te Ika a Maui.
If you want to see the finished products, come along to our assembly on Friday!

We are going to be learning this song to teach the rest of the kura. It's very catchy. We hope that you can help us to practice this at home too!

Wiki tuarua o te tau hou
Ka whakarongo mātou ki te kōrero o Matua Emile.
On Friday we listened to Matua Emile. He was telling us about what the different parts of a wharenui are for and how we can relate some of the principles that relate to the parts of the wharenui to ourselves and our learning. Ka pai te kōrero!
