Te Hiringa 2017

Kia ora koutou,

Here is a slideshow introducing our class for the year. The tuakana not only have introduced themselves but also their teina that they have been buddied up with. Our teina are Yr 1-4 tamariki and don't have digital devices.

We are looking forward to an awesome year with heaps of great learning opportunities!

  1. Kia ora koutou Te Hiringa,
Great to see your introductions. I can see you have been cybersmart in sharing about yourselves. I am a Manaiakalani Outreach facilitator, working in Kootuitui ki Papakura cluster. Are you doing tuhi mai, tuhi atu?
    Ngā mihi,
    Maria

  3. Kia ora Whaea Katie and Te Hiringa learners,
My name is Tania and I am one of the Manaiakalani Outreach Facilitators. I live in Whangarei, a long way from where you live on the West Coast. Have any of you ever been to Whangarei or the top of the North Island? I am lucky enough to be organising Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu so will be able to check out your blog regularly and leave you comments. Thank you for sharing the slideshow introducing yourselves. It's great to be able to get to know you all a little better. I can see that some of you have similar interests to me. Keep up the great work learning and sharing your learning on your class and individual blogs.
    Ngā mihi nui
    Tania

    1. Kia ora Tania,

Thank you for your introduction. You must be very busy organising all the classes for Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu. We like meeting new people and seeing what other classes are doing. It turns out that a few of us have been to Whangarei and some of the tribes we belong to are from the top of the North Island so some of us have connections.
Have you ever been to the West Coast?

    3. WOW that's great to hear - Ruakaka is a great place to live and such a beautiful beach. I have met the Principal and one of the teachers from One Tree point Kura. I hope they have good memories of living in Ruakaka.

    4. Kia ora Te Hirina,
What tribes do you affiliate with? Are you Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Hine, Ngāti Wai or another? Yes I have been to the West Coast, I came down and spent time visiting your schools with Madeline last year and even came to Grey Main School. I am hoping I will get to do that again this year too! You live in an amazing part of our country.
