We decided that we needed to come up with a class treaty to make sure that we all have the best environment to learn in. We came up with lots of ideas and then managed to get them down to 4 things that we could follow.
Here is us with our Treaty that we each signed to say that we would abide it.

ReplyDeleteI am SUPER IMPRESSED with your class treaty and like how you have managed to get it down to 4 great things. I am sure you will all work hard this year to be respectful, show manaakitanga, strive for excellence and show kotahitanga. I am lucky enough to live just an hour away from Waitangi so I get to go to Waitangi Day. It is an incredible day celebrating the signing of Te Tiriti o te Waitangi. I haven't read the story of how Waitangi got it's name so am going to do some more research to learn. Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteI am a teacher at a school in Christchurch called Ara Tu Whakata Gilberthorpe School. Our class is called Te Ropu Ngakaunui and we are year 4 and 5. We are lucky enough to be doing Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu with you this year! I was just having a nosy through your blog, and this post really stood out to me... because we have made our own class treaty too! How did you make the colour of the treaty? this probably reminded me of using the coffee for the treaty's colour and we burnt the edges and sticked it up in the wall, Maybe you could show us whats a treaty,
